Karachi: The Sindh High Court ordered the release of photographs of citizens on social media in the case related to the recovery of 10 missing persons.
A two-member bench of the Sindh High Court headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto heard the petitions related to the recovery of 10 missing persons, including an 18-year-old girl. Families and lawyers of most of the missing citizens did not appear in court.
The police officer said that 18-year-old Hifza Shah Faisal Colony, Zainab Ibrahim Haidari, Muhammad Naeem, are missing from different areas of Karachi. Justice Nimatullah Phalphotu remarked that what action has been taken regarding the recovery of citizens? The investigating officer said that letters have been sent to the detention facilities and institutions across the country for the recovery of the citizens. JITs sessions have also been conducted.
Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto remarked that the family members of the citizens did not appear in court because of the police action. The police officer said that Shah Hussain Gulshan was missing from the architect, now he has been arrested in a case. The court ordered the DIG to conduct an investigation. The court ordered to continue the process for the recovery of other missing citizens including Hafza and to publish the photos of the citizens on social media. The court adjourned the hearing for 4 weeks.
