Islamabad: The spokesperson of the Federal Ministry of Health has said that the polio virus has been confirmed in an environmental sample in Balochistan’s Lasbela district.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health said that the polio virus is moving from one place to another and is a constant threat to children, the surveillance system is working effectively in tracking the presence of the polio virus.
He said that eradication of polio is the first priority so that children can be protected from this disease.
The spokesman said that a nationwide polio campaign is being organized from February 26 and parents should complete the immunization course along with giving their children polio drops.
