In the fourth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators are competing.
Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Quetta Gladiators captain Riley Russo entered the field for the toss of the match being played between electric fans in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Lahore Qalandars have won the toss and decided to bat first against Quetta Gladiators.
Captain Shaheen Afridi said that two changes have been made in the team of Lahore Qalandars, Lorcan Tucker and David Vaisaki have replaced Carlos Brathwaite and Sikandar Raza in the team.
Riley Russo said that no changes have been made in the Quetta Gladiators team.
Lahore Qalandars team management has rested all-rounder David Wasa for today’s match and said that David Wasa has been rested as a precaution due to a slight pain in his leg.
The team of Lahore Qalandars also includes captain Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Rasi van der Deusen, Abdullah Shafiq and Sikandar Raza.
The team management has included Salman Fayyaz, Carlos Brathwaite, Jahan Dad Khan, Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan in the final eleven.
Lahore Qalandars were defeated by Shadab Khan’s Islamabad United by 8 wickets in the first match of the event, while Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 16 runs yesterday.
Shaheen Afridi XI have lost 3 of their last 5 PSL matches while Quetta Gladiators have won 3 of their last 5 matches.
