Karachi: Gold trader in water line dispute, 2 killed and 4 injured in various other incidents.
According to the police, a gold trader and his brother were shot dead and injured by a builder and his accomplices who had taken an illegal water line in Nazimabad. After the incident, the accused fled leaving 5 motorcycles. During the incident, the residents of the area caught 2 persons including the accused’s father and handed them over to the police, while the police also seized the motorcycles.
According to the details, one person was killed and two others were injured due to firing during a dispute near Nazimabad No. 3 Bakai Hospital, House No. 3/B of Nazimabad Police Station. The body of the deceased and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, the deceased was identified as 45-year-old Asim Rehman, son of Abdul Rahman, while the injured include Naveedur Rahman, son of Abdul Rahman, and 40-year-old Shoaib, son of Shamim. Occurred during
Naveedur Rehman, the injured brother of the deceased Asimur Rehman, while talking to Express, said that a builder in the area was illegally installing a water line for his house under construction. His father started to argue and after some other bitter words went back.
Later, Numan and Owais, the owner of Alhuda Estate who is also a builder, came armed with several of their accomplices on 5 motorcycles and stood outside Asim Rehman’s house asking them to come down. First, 2 elder brothers Nadeemur Rahman and Naeemur Rahman came out of the house, then the armed men slapped Naeemur Rahman. Meanwhile, the other 2 brothers Asimur Rehman and Naveed also came out of the house, on which the armed accused opened fire indiscriminately.
As a result of the firing, a bullet hit Naveed’s head and hit the face of Asim, who was standing behind, killing him on the spot. The injured Shoaib is the builder’s partner who was injured by his own bullet. After the firing, the accused fled leaving 5 motorcycles. They were handed over while the builder Nauman and Owais escaped with their associates.
DSP Nazimabad said that Al Huda was laying an illegal water line in the estate area, on which there was a dispute with the residents of his area. Two people were killed and injured. Shoaib, who was injured, was taken away from the hospital by his colleagues, while two people were detained by the police with the help of local residents. They were not present at the houses. The motorcycles of the accused, which they had left at the scene and escaped, have been taken into possession by the police. The deceased Asim was the father of 4 children and a gold merchant.
Meanwhile in PIB Colony behind Faizan Madina, unknown accused on a motorcycle opened fire and killed Nanbai. The body of the deceased was shifted to Civil Hospital, where he was identified as 28-year-old Mukhtiar Alam, son of Sheikh Alam. Mukhtiar was hit by two bullets in the head and he died on the spot. The incident seems to be a sign of personal enmity. The police have started an investigation in this regard.
Apart from this, one person was killed by firing in Superhighway Serena Village Scheme 33 in Sachal area. The body of the deceased was shifted to Jinnah Hospital. According to the spokesman of Karachi Police, the deceased was identified as 40-year-old Jamshed son of Malik Amir Bakhsh. SHO Sachal Inspector Aurangzeb Khattak said that the deceased Jamshed Gulshan was a resident of Iqbal Rajput Colony and a rickshaw driver.
At the time of the incident, the deceased was sleeping in his rickshaw when the unknown accused shot him in the head and fled away.
According to the police, another information was received that unknown suspects opened fire and injured a person in Marora area of Sachal and fled the scene. The injured person was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical assistance, where he was identified. 18-year-old was done in the name of Sartaj son of Arbab. It is suspected that the killing of Jamshed and the wounding of Sartaj are related to the same incident, but it would be too early to say anything.
An 8-year-old girl was injured in a mysterious firing near Shah Faisal Colony’s house number D/41 Usman Ghani Mosque, Kent Bazaar. The injured girl was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical assistance. She was identified as 8-year-old daughter of Saba Zaheer Ali. The incident took place due to a bullet coming from an unknown direction. The police is investigating the incident.
