Former PTI MLAs reached Peshawar High Court against election symbols

Peshawar: Former ministers and MLAs of PTI approached the Peshawar High Court against the election symbols.

According to Express News, former provincial minister Kamran Bangash, Asif Khan, Aftab Alam, Shafiullah, Shehryar Khan Afridi and other leaders have filed petitions in the Peshawar High Court against the election symbols.

Shahryar Afridi has made the Election Commission, District Returning Officer and Returning Officer a party in the petition and has taken a stand that the Election Commission has allotted me a bottle symbol, I have been a former federal minister, to allot election symbols to former members. I am given priority.

The petition states that it was found from social media that election symbol bottles have been allotted, candidate’s opinion is taken before allotment of election symbol, returning officer was repeatedly contacted but no response was given.

Leader Kamran Bangash has said in his petition that he has been given the election symbol of a violin and his opponent has been given a violin. My opponent’s name is also Kamran.

PTI leader Asif Khan has said in the application that he is a candidate from National Assembly Constituency NA-32 and he has been given a Hath Gedi symbol. , the names of both the candidates are the same and the election symbols are also allotted which will make it difficult for the voters to differentiate.

Similarly, Aftab Alam, a candidate from PK 90 of Kohat, has filed a petition against the election symbol of eggplant and Shafiullah, a candidate from Kohat, has filed a petition against the election symbol of cabbage.
