Karachi: The Director General (DG) of Sindh Health Department directed all the DHOs and Medical Superintendents across the province to take measures related to the new variant of Covid-19 in view of the increase in the cases of corona variant across the country.
In the guidelines issued by DG Health, it has been said that the people associated with the infected people should be identified and isolated, to prevent the possible spread of the virus, the people associated with the affected people should be tested and self-isolation should be adopted. .
The guidelines call for the establishment of Covid-19 wards in all DHQs and THQs to isolate the infected persons to prevent possible spread and to provide proper treatment facilities especially to those with severe symptoms of Covid-19. has been done
DG Health has said that beds, medical facilities and resources should be ensured in all hospitals and the vaccination process should be accelerated especially in the affected areas.
He directed that news from authentic sources related to Covid-19 should be given and fake news should be rectified, spread of the virus, diagnosis of new cases should be monitored under integrated surveillance system.
Citizens have been instructed to take precautionary measures, use face masks and keep distance and wash hands thoroughly when coming in contact with a person with possible symptoms.
