Karachi: A woman married for 7 months was allegedly killed

Karachi: A dead body of a woman has been found from a house in Korangi Mehran Town, who was allegedly tortured to death.

According to the details, the dead body of a woman has been found from house number MB 53 near Umar Bin Khattab Mosque, Korangi Mehran Town Sector 6 of Korangi Industrial Area Police Station, who was allegedly tortured to death.

The body of the woman was privately shifted to Jinnah Hospital for legal proceedings, the woman has been identified as 18-year-old Roma wife Salim.

When contacted, SHO Korangi Obaidullah said that the police had spoken to the woman’s maternal uncle on mobile phone and the paternal uncle told the police that they had spoken to Roma in the night and she was fine but on Sunday afternoon. It was found that her condition deteriorated and she was shifted to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

The SHO said that on receiving information from the hospital, the duty officer has been sent to the hospital, the duty officer will reach the hospital and collect all the details after which the facts will come out. He said that the cause of death could not be determined immediately, the police is investigating further in this regard.

The woman’s father while talking to the media representatives at Jinnah Hospital said that I loved my daughter very much, bought new clothes and fruits for her. He had left the house to go to his daughter, but on the way he was informed that Jinnah’s daughter was in the hospital. When he reached Jinnah, he saw that his daughter’s body was lying there. My daughter was 19 to 20 years old.

He said that the daughter was married among distant relatives while the marriage took place seven months ago. From the early days, my daughter used to give alms to her mother-in-law for her children, due to which she was suffering from mental stress. Talked to the daughter on Saturday night, she was fine but in the morning the number was switched off, there was no response from the in-laws. The daughter often complained to her mother about the violence of the mother-in-law and the husband. It is suspected that my daughter died due to severe stress and violence from the mother-in-law and husband.

Salim, the husband of the deceased woman, said that he returned home from work at 12 o’clock on Saturday night, had dinner with his wife, and after that we watched TV until 2:30 in the night. After 2:30, the wife turned off the TV. Fell asleep, at half past five in the morning, the wife picked her up and asked for water, but the wife did not drink the water, and after that the wife held my hand tightly and fell asleep again.

The husband said that at 10:30 in the morning I woke up and after that I tried to wake up my wife but she did not wake up, we have been married for six months and the wife had no illness, I did not abuse my wife.
