California: Technology company Meta’s sub-messaging application WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow WhatsApp users to instantly share their status on Instagram.
Earlier, Meta introduced the feature to update WhatsApp status on Facebook, so introducing a similar feature for updates between WhatsApp and Instagram is not new.
With the help of this feature, any photo, video, GIF or text shared on WhatsApp will appear on Instagram Stories for 24 hours, but importantly, the user will have the option to determine whether Who can see their stories and who can’t.
Currently WhatsApp status can be shared in three ways: with everyone, with everyone except some people or with selected people.
According to the WhatsApp beta info, the addition of such a feature, which will allow users to share status updates on Instagram, will have several benefits, the most important of which is saving time.
Note that this feature is currently under development and has been rolled out to beta users for testing and is expected to be rolled out to users worldwide soon. However, no final date has been announced by the company.
