A passenger plane flying from New Zealand to America did not reach its destination after traveling through the clouds for 16 hours.
According to foreign media, Air New Zealand’s flight NZ2 was supposed to land at the American airport, but it could not be done due to interruption of work due to power cut after a minor fire.
According to reports, the passenger plane flying from Auckland, New Zealand was directed to take a U-turn after which it reached the same airport from where it took off after 16 hours.
According to foreign media, the airline said in a statement that the flight was asked to turn back due to a fire in the terminal.
The airline added that landing at another US airport would have greatly disrupted business operations.
Air New Zealand said diverting the plane to another US airport would have meant the plane would have been stuck there for several days, affecting many other scheduled services and customers.
According to reports, the passengers of the affected flight were diverted by other flights.
