Sindh High Court summoned Director Traffic Management KMC, Director Traffic Management KDA, Secretary Local Government, Secretary Transport, DIG Traffic for the next hearing against illegal parking.
A two-judge bench headed by Justice Nadeem Akhtar issued a written order on the petition against illegal parking. The written order said that private persons are operating illegal parking with the help of traffic police, illegal parking increases the traffic problems, it is the duty of the Sindh government to regulate the parking issues. People are affected due to illegal activities.
The court summoned Director Traffic Management KMC, Director Traffic Management KDA, Secretary Local Government, Secretary Transport, DIG Traffic on December 5 and said that it is the job of the Sindh government to regulate parking matters.
It is said in the written order that how the business of illegal parking is being run in the city? All the officers should appear in the court and explain how illegal parking can be stopped, traffic flow is a major problem in the city, private persons are using such spaces for parking which is not allowed.
