The Punjab government has announced to keep educational institutions across the province closed tomorrow.
According to the details, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee for Anti-Smog was held today under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi.
Keeping in view the smog situation, caretaker Chief Minister Punjab announced to keep schools, colleges closed tomorrow and Saturday.
Mohsin Naqvi said in this regard that the markets, bazaars and business establishments will remain open as usual tomorrow and the day after. Restaurants and other business houses will also remain open as usual.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Punjab directed to continue the process of road cleaning and water sprinkling and also ordered an effective crackdown against smoke emitting vehicles.
He said that indiscriminate action should be continued against tire burning factories. Human beings are taking steps to reduce smog. Every effort is made to keep the air quality index as low as possible.
