Karachi: All industries have announced a strike on December 4 against expensive gas.

The representative associations of all the seven industrial areas of Karachi have announced a one-day strike on December 4 as a protest against the sudden increase in gas tariff and cross-subsidy of gas supply to the fertilizer sector.

The announcement was made at the Site Association of Industry on Thursday at a joint press conference involving representatives of associations from all seven industrial areas.

Karachi Industrial Alliance Coordinator Javed Balwani while addressing the press conference said that on December 4, all the industries of Karachi will be closed for one day on the first strike, if the government still does not revise the gas tariff, then announced more strikes. will go

He said that at present only the industrialists are worried about the sharp increase in the price of gas. FPCCI and Karachi Chamber of Commerce have full support for the strike decision. If this important issue is not addressed, the export industries will be closed because the industries cannot be run after doubling the gas tariff.

Javed Balwani said that the industrialists of Sindh and Balochistan will also join in the protest strike, the industrial associations of Sindh and Balochistan will take this decision soon in their general body meeting.

He said that the Caretaker Minister of Energy has asked Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association to meet only by calling. In the current situation, the industrial wheel cannot be operated due to high cost. Workers have also started to be evacuated due to the activities.
