Karachi: In the case of Tahir Plaza tragedy, the accused Faisal alias Mama has been granted bail.
The hearing of the Tahir Plaza tragedy case was held in the Sindh High Court, in which a bail application was filed on behalf of the accused. The court approved the bail of the accused Faisal alias Mama and ordered him to submit a bond of Rs 3 lakh.
The lawyer of the accused took a position during the hearing that the accused Faisal alias Mama has been in jail since 2016. The arrest of the accused in the tragedy of Tahir Plaza in 2021 has been revealed. There is no evidence against the accused. The prosecution is only prolonging the case.
The prosecution took the stand that six lawyers were set on fire in the Tahir Plaza tragedy. A case was registered against the accused in Risala police station in 2008. The case of the Tahir Plaza tragedy is still pending in the Anti-Terrorism Court.
Later, the court granted bail to the accused and ordered to submit the surety bonds.
