There is great news for unemployed IT graduates.

According to the details, the caretaker federal minister for IT Dr. Umar Saif has chaired a meeting to finalize the plan with the Higher Education Commission for improving the quality of computer science students in the universities and their placement in the IT industry. .

HEC Executive Director Dr. Zia Al Qayyum, Member IT Syed Junaid Imam, CEO Ignite Asim Shehryar Hussain and others participated in the meeting.

It was decided in the meeting that Higher Education Commission, Pakistan IT Industry Association, Pakistan Software Export Board and National Computing Education Accreditation Council will conduct a standardized test to check the quality of IT students and place them in the final semester.

PSEB will compile data about students who take and pass the exam. An industry co-op program will be added in the final semester, whereby students can earn 6 to 9 credit units to work in industry and gain practical experience before graduating.

Collaboration with the industry will be done to ensure placement of students who clear the PASHA test in IT companies and subsequent employment opportunities.
