Quetta: Severe winter has started in different areas of Balochistan and the mercury has dropped below the freezing point in Kalat.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather was cold and cloudy in most of the districts of Balochistan and rain and hail also occurred in different areas during this time.
81 mm of rain was recorded in Pisni, due to the heavy rain not only the roads were flooded but the rain water also entered the houses.
According to the Meteorological Department, Naukandi, Chagai, Dalbandin, Kalat, Khuzdar, Nushki, Washik, Kharan, Panjgur, Kech, Turbat, Pasni, Makran, Lasbela, Gwadar and Jiwani received rain with strong winds and thunder.
Meanwhile, the minimum temperature was recorded in Quetta at five degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was recorded at minus 1 degree Celsius in Kalat.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature was recorded at 8 degrees in Nokundi, 11 degrees in Sabi and 16 degrees in Gwadar.
