Lyari Development Authority has canceled the permit of more than 310 acres

Karachi: Lyari Development Authority (LDA) has canceled the plan and permit of more than 310 acres in Scheme 43.

According to the details, LDA has canceled the proposal out plan and development permit of private sector projects and societies located in Scheme 43, LDA officials have initiated a major action against the public for non-payment of Outer Development Charges (ODC). It has also been directed not to do any kind of transaction in the said private sector projects, societies.

According to the LDA, letters will also be sent to the SBCA not to approve the maps of the said projects and to cancel the approved maps.

According to the statement, advance checks submitted for outer development charges have bounced, on which legal action has also been taken against the concerned builders.

According to highly reliable sources, the Lyari Development Authority (LDA) has been canceling proposed layout plans and development permits of large private sector projects and societies that have not paid external development charges for years. Scheme 43 houses the above mentioned private sector projects and societies.

According to the documents, there are projects in an area of ​​more than 310 hectares, the layout of which has been cancelled.

Sources say that the 25 hectare land of Shah Mir and Pisumal located in Jam Chakro, the approval date of the layout is 6 October 2021.

Among the areas whose permit has been revoked is the 12 hectare 17 hour plot of Sama Builder’s land in Maigarhi, the layout of which was approved on September 25, 2020. Apart from this, Rashid Hussain’s layout of 16 acres of land in Jam Chakru was approved on January 24, 2020.

According to the sources, Arshad Iqbal’s 4 acre land in Jam Chakru was approved on October 27, 2020, the layout of Canal View Phase II’s 28 acre land in Jam Chakru was approved on January 17, 2022.

Similarly, five separate plots of land of 24 thousand 79 square yards of Kom 1, Kom 2, Kom 3, Kom 4 and Kom 5 located in Jam Chakru of M. Iqbal and Brothers which were approved on 14 October 2021, 14 acres 39 hours of Muhammad Shahid located in Deh Band Murad. The approval of the land was given on December 7, 2021.

Syedin Associates’ 91 hectare land in Jam Chakru was approved on 18 June 2021, Golden Global’s 50 hectare land in Jam Chakru was approved on 16 June 2021, while Arshad Iqbal’s 39 hectare 20 ght land in Jam Chakru was approved on 16 June 2021 and while Syed Ammaruddin was approved for one hectare of land for a petrol pump in village Murad on 12 October 2021.

According to LDA, due to non-payment of outer development charges to LDA by the owners of the above mentioned private projects, the land development permit and layout plan of all the above mentioned persons have been cancelled.

According to the sources of Sindh Government Information Department, LDA has requested public awareness in this regard and the general public and government and semi-government persons have been instructed not to buy and sell any kind of land on the said land.

Confirming the sources of LDA, it is said that on the direction of Minister of Local Government and DGLDA, Director Planning Waleed Bashir has started the action against the defaulting builders and in this regard, on behalf of the builders, for ODC. It has also been decided to take legal action against the advance checks deposited which have bounced.

A letter will also be sent to the Sindh Building Control Authority for not approving the maps of the projects established on the said land and canceling those that have been approved.
