The United States declared ineffective the proposed resolution of the Security Council on stopping the construction of Israeli settlements.
US State Department Spokesperson Vedant Patel has said that the Security Council resolution is not helpful for advancing the two-state solution negotiations.
According to the foreign news agency, the draft resolution will demand Israel to immediately and completely stop the construction of new settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
It should be noted that the resolution of the Arab Emirates against the construction of new settlements on the occupied West Bank will be presented to the Security Council today.
