Court order not to arrest three PTI leaders
Peshawar High Court has suspended the case filed against Mayor Swat and 2 former members of PTI.
A hearing was held in the High Court on the petition filed by Mayor Swat Shahid Ali, former MNA Salim Rehman and former MPA Fazal Hakeem for cancellation of FIR.
The court suspended the FIR registered against the three PTI leaders and ordered them not to be arrested.
The petitioners’ lawyers argued that an FIR has been registered in Waziristan against Swat mayor and MLAs. The petitioners are alleged to have made speeches against the state, the plaintiffs claim that they heard a speech on the Internet that they were making speeches against the state, two more FIRs of the same nature have been registered against the petitioners. These three politicians are patriotic citizens and a small case was made against them.
The court suspended the FIR against the petitioners and adjourned the hearing till December 7 while seeking records.
