After several hours, the leopard that spread fear in a private housing society in Islamabad was finally captured.
The leopard had injured 3 people including 2 officials of the wildlife department. It has been decided to investigate the matter.
The wildlife department says that the presence of the leopard in the private housing society will be investigated.
The leopard was rescued safely, the officials sustained minor injuries during the rescue, the leopard will be released into the habitat after medical examination.
It should be remembered that a leopard had entered a private housing society in Islamabad, and in an attempt to control it, 3 people including 2 wildlife department officials were injured.
The rescue and wildlife staff conducted an operation to capture the leopard, due to darkness, lighting was arranged by the district administration.
The leopard also tore the two nets used to catch itself.
When the leopard got out of control in the private housing society, a large number of people came out of their houses. The leopard attacked one person after another and also pounced on a female wildlife officer, but the female officer survived due to the safety jacket.
Sources say that the leopard is a pet of a resident of a private housing society, the owner’s employee left the cage open and the leopard escaped.
