Islamabad: During the hearing of the case in the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice has remarked that the quality of investigation by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is very bad.
A 3-member bench presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faiz Isa heard the case, in which the court rejected the plea of the lawyer accused of murdering 2 persons and expressed strong indignation at the investigation by the KP police. The court said that 2 people were killed and 3 injured, how did the police investigate such big incidents.
The Chief Justice remarked that there was a lot of talk about reforms in Pakhtunkhwa Police. The quality of investigation by KP police is worst. It is said that there have been reforms in KP Police. Where were the reforms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police? The police did not record the statements of the injured.
Later, the court directed the trial court to decide the case without adjournment. It should be noted that a case of murder has been registered against the accused lawyer in Mardan Sadar police station.
