Karachi: The sale of Israeli currency under the guise of prize bonds was caught.

FIA Anti-Corruption Circle seized currency of 32 countries during a raid in Bolton Market, a densely populated area of ​​the city.

According to the spokesperson of FIA, the crackdown against illegal currency dealers is ongoing under the supervision of Additional Director FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Javed Baloch under the direction of Director FIA Karachi Zone Zaeem Iqbal Sheikh.

The FIA ​​Anti-Corruption Circle conducted a raid in Bolton Market, a densely populated area of ​​the city, during which two suspects, Ahmed Raza and Faizan Raza, involved in the illegal purchase and sale of foreign currency were arrested.

The accused were involved in buying and selling foreign currency under the guise of prize bond business and involved in illegal currency exchange without the approval of the State Bank. Currency of more than 30 countries were recovered from the possession of the accused.

Pakistani rupees 8 lakh, prize bond worth one and a half lakh rupees, Indian currency 4500, Thai baht 5 thousand, Indonesian currency 6 lakh, Afghani 2 thousand, Vietnamese dong 17 lakh, Mozambique 8 thousand, Filipino 1400, Malaysian ringgit 1 thousand, Iranian riyal 48 lakh, Iraqi riyal 3500, Russian Manat 40, Kenya Sheng 600, Saudi Riyal 500, Qatari Riyal 150, Swiss Franc 50, Norway 50, South Korea 5 lakh, German Mark 50, Mapados 500, Egyptian Pound 250, Costa Rica 1 thousand, Leibniz 1 thousand, Israel Sheqim 20, Nepali 900, Hong Kong Dollar 30, Bahrain Dinar 3, British Pound 30, Euro20, and 500 Syrian pounds recovered.
