Islamabad: The High Court issued a detailed decision rejecting the bail of Vice Chairman PTI and former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cipher case.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq issued a detailed decision containing 10 pages, in which the court said that the person who incites, conspires or assists in the crime will be treated as committing the main crime.
According to the court decision, the provisions imposed on Chairman PTI include life imprisonment and death penalty. Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be seen in this context. Undoubtedly, bail is not a deterrent to punishment, but the courts act cautiously while granting bail to those accused of life imprisonment. In such cases bail cannot be granted unless there is a reasonable cause.
In the detailed judgment of the Islamabad High Court, it has been further stated that the trial has already started, the appropriate balance can be achieved only by instructing the trial court to complete the trial soon. Exception to 248 is only for official duties. Shah Mehmood Qureshi is accused of speaking in the meeting. Shah Mehmood Qureshi is accused of speaking at the rally on March 27, he is not in official duty.
According to the decision, the court rejects the bail and directs that the trial be completed in 4 weeks.
