Rawalpindi: Interim bail of Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed in other cases including May 9 was extended.
The anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi had granted bail till November 18 on a bond of Rs 50,000. On the occasion of the hearing, Sheikh Rasheed along with his lawyer Sardar Abdul Razzaq Advocate appeared in front of Judge Malik Ejaz Asif.
After the bail, Sheikh Rasheed said that 23 cases were heard today, including GHQ attack, attack on a sensitive institution, attack on an army institution, including all the cases of May 9 tragedy.
He said that there was no case before Challe, after Challe there were cases upon cases. Today, in 23 cases, the government has requested for more preparation, the government insisted that one more week should be given. The bails have been extended till November 25. The trial will be held on November 25 in the morning here and in the afternoon in Islamabad.
Former Federal Interior Minister said that Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz has called for the records of all the supplementary cases. Within a week, the whole world will know how many cases are filed against us. 3 days before challah I didn’t have a single case. 68 cases have come to the fore so far, rest is very big.
