Karachi: New Karachi Industrial Area, Shah Latif and Sohrab Goth Police arrested 7 robbers including 3 injured and recovered weapons, mobile phones and other items stolen from citizens after alleged encounters.
The New Karachi Industrial Area Police arrested a dacoit in an injured condition after an alleged encounter from Lassi Goth Sector 12/D on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, who was later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, the injured suspect was identified as Muhammad Ahmed son of Muhammad Jameel, one of whose accomplice managed to escape from the spot by taking advantage of the darkness of the night. A pistol with ammunition was recovered from the arrested suspect. Mobile phone and cash recovered.
Shah Latif Police arrested 5 suspects including an injured person after an alleged encounter under the Chirag Colony Khana bridge located in the river below the Quaidabad bridge between Thursday and Friday night. The injured suspect was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical assistance.
According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, the injured suspect was identified as Shoaib Ali son of Nawab, while the other accused were Junaid Ali son of Syed Hasan, Nadeem son of Bachal, Yar Muhammad son of Niaz Muhammad, and Mir Wali son of Gul Nawaz. Among them, the accused Shoaib Ali, who was arrested in an injured state, has been arrested several times in different police stations.
The arrested suspects have been involved in dozens of street crimes, 3 pistols with ammunition, 6 stolen mobile phones, cash and 2 motorcycles, stolen mobile phones and other items have been recovered from the accused.
Sohrab Goth Police arrested a dacoit in an injured condition after an alleged encounter near Kacha Pakka Road Government Primary School. The injured suspect was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical assistance. He was identified as 37-year-old Haider son of Muhammad Hassan.
A pistol with ammunition, mobile phone and cash were recovered from the arrested accused. A companion of the arrested accused managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness of the night. The arrested accused will be investigated after treatment.
