Islamabad: The High Court has issued a written order to stay the jail trial of Chairman PTI in the cipher case.
Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb and Justice Taman Rifat Imtiaz issued a written order, in which the court said that in view of Badi-Nazar, the jail trial of Chairman PTI cannot be called an open trial. No document has been brought on record to fulfill the pre-conditions for jail trial.

The order further said that if there is any such document, it should be produced in the court at the next hearing. The Attorney General said that the Federal Cabinet has approved the jail trial of Chairman PTI. The Attorney General could not produce the copy of the decision of the Federal Cabinet before the court.
The court further said in its judgment that the Attorney General could not even submit the summary on the basis of which the decision was taken by the Cabinet. Required documents must be brought on record for a just decision of the case. In the light of the same documents, the legal point of affecting the fundamental rights of the appellant is also to be decided.
The order states that the court issues an injunction on the trial of the cipher case until the next hearing.
