Karachi: In Shahr Quaid, the police arrested two operatives of a group involved in inter-provincial drug trafficking and recovered ice worth five million rupees.
According to the details, the Sukhan police arrested two suspects in an operation, from whose possession high quality ice was recovered, the value of which is said to be more than five lakh rupees.
Following the special orders of SSP Malir Tariq Mastoi, SHO Zubair Nawaz of Sukhan police station arrested two key operatives of the notorious drug smuggling gang in a successful operation along with the police party. Among the accused are Muhammad Rafiq Brohi son of Fazal Muhammad and Khalid Hussain Abbasi son of Noor Hussain.
The accused were arrested from the jetty near ICE in Lagigoth area. 745 grams of high quality ice worth more than 50 lakh rupees was recovered from the possession of the accused.
According to SHO Sukhan Zubair Nawaz, the accused have initially disclosed that they belong to an inter-provincial group of drug smugglers, the accused had brought ice and other drugs from Balochistan by road and later through the sea route mentioned above. Wanted to take Ice District Thatta, Katy Bandar.
The said drug was intended to return to Balochistan by road by handing over the drug to the drug dealer group in Bandar, when the police arrested him.
Other associates of the above-mentioned group used to bring drugs from Afghanistan through Chaman border to Pakistan, which are sold in Balochistan and later in other provinces including Sindh.
According to the accused, they were doing the above heinous business for the last two years and have been arrested for the first time.
