Islamabad / Peshawar: The Atmanzai Jirga in North Waziristan has announced a joint campaign with the Pakistan Army and the government to eradicate deadly diseases like polio.
The Pakistan Army, along with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, is working to eradicate the polio virus in North Waziristan and other merged districts by utilizing their resources.
The Atmanzai Jirga is a regional committee comprising the trusted and senior leaders of North Waziristan. The announcement of the Jirga will save future generations from deadly diseases like polio in North Waziristan.
The Atmanzai Jirga also said that the people of the area will continue to stand by the side of the Pakistan Army and participate in prosperity and development.
Atmanzai Jirga also thanked the security forces and government institutions for raising awareness among the local people and playing a positive role in the polio awareness campaign.
A polio-free Waziristan is the guarantee of a prosperous Pakistan.
