As the weather cooled in the highlands, the price of firewood rose
Peshawar: The weather turned cold after rain in the upper areas of Pakhtunkhwa and snowfall in the mountains.
Since last night in Chitral, the rain and snow on the mountains are continuing. Snowfall is reported in Dara Lawari Pass, Midkalshit, Bugusht, and upper reaches of Kalash Valley. Meanwhile, snowfall continues on the upper areas and mountains of Shandur Pass, Khot, Trich of Upper Chitral.
In Chitral, the price of firewood increased due to the cold weather following the rains and snowfall. According to local sources, firewood is being sold for Rs 850 to Rs 900 in Lower Chitral and Rs 1200 in Upper Chitral.
On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain in the provincial capital Peshawar and its suburbs from tomorrow. According to the Department of Meteorology, the city has been covered with clouds since this morning, due to which there is a possibility of heavy and light rain in some areas of the province from the middle of Thursday and Friday night. Light snow may occur.
