Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh has emphasized that instead of mere rhetoric, the caretaker chief minister of Sindh should make the price control committees active, take serious and practical measures to eliminate inflation and hoarding and give relief to the people.
Provincial Spokesperson Mujahid Chana said that inflation and illegal profiteering have made life miserable for the people. The prices of daily commodities including fruits, vegetables, meat are skyrocketing, government writs are nowhere to be seen in Sindh from Dakuraj to vegetable vendors.
He said that despite the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel, the people have not been benefited from it and the official price list is not being followed. But the effects could not come out in the form of relief to the people.
Therefore, instead of merely taking notices or issuing statements, the Caretaker Chief Minister should make the price control committees active, take immediate steps to prevent illegal profiteering and control the prices so that the people can get some relief from the inflation.
