In Lahore, talks are going on between the Punjab government and the representatives of business organizations on closing the markets due to smog.

In talks with the provincial Minister of Industry and Trade SM Tanveer, the traders refused to keep the market closed for 4 days of the week and said that there will be problems if the markets are closed for 4 days. Shops are set to remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The provincial industry minister said that the decision to close the markets is for the health of the people. We do not want a confrontation with the traders, but there is a lockdown from tomorrow, we will not allow transport.
