Islamabad: In the human rights case against Faiz Hameed on the charge of land grabbing, the Supreme Court has given time to the petitioner’s lawyer to submit a letter of representation.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, speaking to the petitioner, said that you have made serious allegations in the petition, whether you will appear in the case yourself or through a lawyer.
The petitioner said that my lawyer has not submitted the affidavit, we got a call only yesterday, so the case should be adjourned.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan remarked that they cannot even postpone your case, so you should submit the lawyer’s letter, then the case will be heard.
The hearing resumed after a break on the application against General (R) Faiz Hameed, then the lawyer for the petitioner stated that on May 12, 2017, Moeez Khan and his family were abducted.
The Chief Justice said in his remarks that what can the court do in this regard? Did the Supreme Court take any notice on this matter?
The petitioner’s lawyer said that the Supreme Court had not taken any action directly, the Ministry of Defense is authorized to conduct an inquiry. The Chief Justice remarked that the application of a woman named Zahida is also pending.
Lawyer Mueez Ahmed said that Zahida has passed away, if they give a copy of the application, they will review it. The Chief Justice remarked that he cannot give a date after the review, he will hold the hearing after the tea break.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan, talking to the petitioner’s lawyer, said that we are telling you what we have understood so far from this case, British citizen Zahida Aslam filed a case under Article 184 three in the Supreme Court in 2017 and former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar called the parties in his chamber in November 2018 and conducted the case.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan inquired whether the Chief Justice of Pakistan can conduct the case by summoning the parties as a single judge in the chamber. In the case, Chief Justice Saqib Nisar himself took notice of FIA, Police and CTD etc. Zahida Aslam also placed a similar request before Chief Justice Gulzar. were filed and the petition before us is also filed under 184 three.
