The widow of an inspector who died on duty is a victim of the department's indifference

Karachi: The widow of a police officer who died in the line of duty has struggled to get her late husband’s salary and GP fund, the police department has turned a blind eye.

Two months after the death of the sub-inspector posted in Quaidabad police station, the family is in economic crisis, but neither the salary is being paid nor the paperwork for the GP fund has been done.

The widow of late sub-inspector Syed Shakib Haseeb Shah, who had completed her pilgrimage, told “Express” that my husband was recruited as a constable in 1992, and spent 30 years of his life in the police department, but after his death, the family of five daughters and four sons came to the police department. Complete neglect has led to problems.

The sub-inspector posted in Quaidabad police station died on August 28 when he was going to court, but the salary for August and September has not been received yet, no one has given any guidance for the GP fund.

The widow of the sub-inspector said that she had spent her whole life in the four walls of the house, now she does not know which offices she will have to visit.

The police officer’s widow has appealed to the IG Police Sindh Raja Rafat Mukhtar to release the late husband’s outstanding salary and get him out of financial trouble, to give him GP fund and to recruit his eldest son in the police department on the quota.
