Karachi: Baldia Uzmi Kar Achi has revealed fake leases and large-scale irregularities in government land in the Orangi Town project, thousands of acres of land were illegally leased or seized.
According to the inquiry report of KMC, illegal encroachments have been made on government land of school and technical institute in Orangi Town, the inquiry report revealed that former project director Orangi leased 70 thousand yards of government land in the township.
In Orangi Town Sector 16 Gulshan Bihar, the land allocated for Norwegian School and Norwegian Technical Institute has been encroached, the plot number 309 of Orangi Town Sector 16 Sheet Two covers 9969 yards of which 5000 yards of land has been encroached However, plot number one covers 61 thousand yards where possession was taken.
According to the report, 13 residential and 2 commercial plots were also leased on the seized government land through forgery, Additional Director Orangi Township Atif Javed Khan provided fake leases. Former Project Director Orangi Township Rizwan Khan gave the lease authority to the Additional Director.
According to the inquiry report, Additional Director Orangi Township Atif Javed Khan has no service record, Assistant Director Abdul Manan Qaim Khani signed the lease as Land Surveyor.
Assistant Director Abdulmanan Qaimkhani also has no service record, former project director Orangi Township Rizwan Khan did not cooperate and did not appear when seeking cooperation in documents and inquiry.
The lease of residential plots on government land was provided with the permission of former project director Rizwan Khan, the inquiry committee sent its report and recommendations to the legal department of Baldia Uzmi Karachi for judicial action.
