A wild cheetah breaks into a housing society in Rawalpindi, injuring four people in continuous attacks

Rawalpindi: A wild cheetah entered a private housing society in Rawalpindi and injured four people in a series of attacks. The Assistant Commissioner ordered the closure of public places and parks.

According to Express News, a wild cheetah entered the house of a private housing society in DHA Phase II Rawalpindi, on which the residents of the neighborhood informed the relief organization and wildlife.

In view of the leopard attack, the residents of the houses hid inside while the rescue team reached, but due to lack of skills and weapons, the rescue team could not catch the leopard and waited for the wildlife department. Aid agency 1122 said that we have no modern weapons to control bloodthirsty leopards.

After a long wait of the residents, the Rawalpindi Wildlife team reached to catch the leopard, but the wild leopard is still not under control, the aid agency 1122, wildlife staff and Islamabad administration are making efforts. The Rawalpindi administration has put barriers around the house under construction.

The leopard attacked people four times, injuring two wildlife staff members and two security guards. The leopard first attacked a security guard, while in two more attacks, two wildlife employees were injured, and a security guard was seriously injured in the fourth attack. Wildlife staff are trying to control the leopard but are not getting success.

Assistant Commissioner Rural Zakharf Fida Malik directed the residents of DHA Islamabad and surrounding areas to stay indoors and close gardens and public places in view of the leopard attack and said that the Wildlife Department and ICT administration at this time. Trying to trace the leopard, parks and public places will remain closed until the leopard is captured.
