Karachi: Government of Sindh has allowed limited recruitment of teachers as per advertisement of 2019 to University of Karachi administration.
According to the notification issued on Thursday in this regard, the selection board has been allowed only for the posts of professors and associate professors.
University of Karachi will be able to recruit 68 posts of professors and 43 posts of associate professors, however the recruitment of lecturers and assistant professors posts in the 2019 advertisement will not be allowed at present.
It should be noted that the teachers of Karachi University have been protesting and teaching boycott for the last one and a half weeks on this matter, the valuable time of the students who have paid thousands of rupees as fees is being wasted.
This is the third teaching boycott in a year by the Teachers’ Association of Karachi University, while on the other hand, student organizations have been continuously demanding teachers to return to classes and teach them.
