Tell us who has taken it and we can’t do anything, High Court
Karachi: The Sindh High Court summoned the head of the provincial task force and the JIT on the petitions related to non-recovery of missing persons.
The application related to the recovery of missing persons was heard before the bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto and comprising of Justice Amjad Ali Sohto.
The father of the missing citizen said that Arslanuddin went missing from Sharifabad police station area five years ago. I have been going through the courts for 5 years.
The court was angry with the police and other agencies for the non-recovery of the missing persons. The court admonished the police in its remarks to fulfill or destroy hope, do one thing.
Justice Amjad Ali Sohto remarked that why are you harassing the families of the missing persons. We are also tired from writing since morning. Tell us who has taken them and we can’t do anything, go and take them yourself. Why are these poor people crying by calling JITs and Task Force? For 5 years the old man has been circling for his son, if he dies, see the body. Why not tell everyone the truth, tell everyone so that these people lose hope.
The court summoned the head of the provincial task force and the JIT and also sought a report from the provincial interior secretary.
