Quetta: ANF seized 1788 kg of drugs in a major operation against drug smugglers in Gwadar.
According to the spokesperson of the Anti-Narcotics Force, a major member of the smuggling gang had hidden a huge quantity of drugs in different places, which the ANF personnel recovered with great effort from different places, with a total quantity of 1788 kg.
The recovered drugs include 1740 kg of hashish, 28 kg of ice and 20 kg of morphine, which are manufactured in Afghanistan, and have Afghanistan stamps on them. Some of the drugs were recovered from under huts made of wood and leaves, while the remaining drugs were recovered from tunnels dug into the hills.
Drug storage areas have been set on fire by the staff. The recovered drugs were stored for smuggling abroad. Cases have been registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act and investigation has been started.
