Attacks on police in DI Khan, explosions killed 6 people, injured 21 including officials

Peshawar: A new wave of attacks on the police in DI Khan, 6 people were killed and 21 people including officials were injured in 2 explosions at different places one after the other.

In the first incident of terrorism, a vehicle carrying elite force personnel was targeted by unknown persons at Tank Adda. As a result of the explosion, 5 people died while 21 people, including policemen and civilians, were injured.

When the dead bodies and injured were shifted to the hospital, on this occasion unknown persons also opened fire on the police officers present in the hospital.

The elite force team from Dera Ismail Khan was going to Takwara check post when the police van was bombed near Tank Adda. The injured include Abdul Hameed, Ishaq, Qudratullah, Nasir, Yasmin, Shireen, Qamar Zaman and others. Police have cordoned off the area and started a search operation.

According to the preliminary investigation, a motorcycle was used in the blast, in which explosive materials were installed. The ages of the people who died in the blast are 15 to 20 years. A dead person has been identified as Qamar Zaman. Among the injured are 2 women and a girl. After the explosion, the students of the degree college were also injured as a result of the firing.

The second incident of terrorism in DI Khan took place near Hathala Police Station, where a young man was killed in a bomb blast.

The blast happened on a joint party of army and police. According to initial investigations, the explosives were planted on the roadside, which were used to detonate by remote control. After the explosion, there was an exchange of fire between the attackers and the forces.

Meanwhile, the caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has condemned the Dera Ismail Khan blast and said that taking the lives of innocent people is a cowardly and barbaric act. The miscreants cannot demoralize the nation and the law enforcement agencies with such cowardly attacks.
