Police operation in Karachi, many illegal foreigners arrested

Karachi: A heavy contingent of police under the leadership of SSP District East conducted an operation against illegal resident foreigners at the site on Superhighway Yathrab Goth. The search app was also used by the police during house-to-house checking.

On the second day of the operation by the federal government to send the illegally staying foreigners to their respective countries, in the early morning of November 2, a heavy police force led by SSP East Irfan Ali Bahadur raided Yathrab Goth area of ​​Site Superhighway. I did the operation.

SP Sohrab Goth, SP Gulshan Iqbal, SHOs of all police stations of District East and a large number of police officers, including head maharr, participated in the operation, while a large number of women officers and personnel were also present in the operation.

Before the operation, all the streets of Yathrab Goth were cordoned off and police mobiles were parked at the entrances and no one was allowed to leave the area.

A heavy contingent of police along with the officers entered the streets of Yathrab Goth together and knocked on the doors of the houses and entered the houses of the women officers while calling their men outside the houses to show their identity cards and government cards. Station cards issued to foreigners were checked by the government, several residents of Yathrab Goth confirmed that they are Afghan Nationals but they have Afghan National Cards issued by the Government of Pakistan.

The police confirmed their identity card and Afghan national card through the search app, there were also several families whose cards had expired and several such persons and their families were detained by the police and sent to the police station for further investigation. Transferred while dozens of people were declared clear after verification from the search app.

The detained persons said that they have Afghan national cards issued by the government of Pakistan, but the police asked them to leave the country by this evening.

They said that they have been living in the same area for more than 40 years and they have businesses here. How is it possible for them to leave the country? They can go to Afghanistan by selling their businesses, houses etc.

SSP East Irfan Ali Bahadur says that on the orders of the federal government, an operation is being conducted against all illegally residing foreigners without discrimination. The nationals, most of whom were Afghans, have voluntarily left Pakistan for their respective countries. Those who did not take advantage of this respite are now being operated to send them back to their countries as per the law.

He said that the operation will be ended only when it is confirmed that no foreigner is residing illegally in Pakistan (Karachi).
