Wasim Hayat Bajwa does not want to pursue the case further, lawyer
The Islamabad High Court has dismissed petitioner Member CDA Wasim Hayat Bajwa’s withdrawal of his petition in the case related to the transfer of officers on the order of the Election Commission during the caretaker regime.
Supreme Court Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the application. The lawyer of the petitioner appeared in the court and took a stand that Wasim Hayat Bajwa does not want to continue the case and wants to withdraw the case.
The court accepted the request to withdraw the case and dismissed the application. The court had sought answers regarding the transfer of important bureaucrats including IG and DC Islamabad.
The Election Commission had issued orders for the transfer of the secretaries of various departments and the IG of Sindh. The Election Commission had also recommended the transfer of Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Deputy Commissioner.
