Islamabad: The Afghan family approached the Islamabad High Court against the notice of withdrawal from Pakistan.
An Afghan family residing in Jhelum approached the Islamabad High Court against the eviction notice issued by the institutions on the issue of the government’s deadline for the evacuation of foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan.
Before Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq, the petitioner took a stand that according to the notification of the Government of Pakistan, only illegal foreigners have been asked to go back, while the petitioner and his wife Pass Muhajir Card is available. Petitioner’s 3 children are minor and studying in school.
The application stated that on October 23, officials of the Ministry of Interior came to our residence and asked us to go back to Afghanistan. The petitioner applied to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Saffron on the matter but was not heard. We request the court to stop the process of harassment by the institutions and to stop the institutions from taking any strict action without listening to us.
Later, the court issued a notice to the parties and sought their response and adjourned the hearing.
It should be noted that today is the last day of the deadline given to the foreigners living in Pakistan illegally to leave the country, after which a nationwide operation will be launched against the illegal residents.
