Karachi: 4 dacoits were killed on the spot in the exchange of fire between the police and dacoits in Malir Saudabad Shadman Town, while a policeman and 2 passers-by were also injured in the exchange of fire.
According to the details, on Sunday morning, there was an exchange of fire between the police and robbers near Malir Saudabad Shadman Town Juma Bazaar area of Saudabad police station, as a result of which 4 robbers were killed on the spot while one policeman and 2 passers-by were seriously injured. The injured police personnel and passers-by were immediately shifted to the hospital.
Arms, cash, purses and stolen 32 mobile phones and 2 motorcycles were recovered from the possession of the dacoits killed in the encounter. The bodies of the dacoits killed in the encounter were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for legal proceedings.
According to SHO Saudabad Muhammad Ali Niazi, street crime was happening on a daily basis in Malir Saudabad Shadman Town, in this regard the patrol party was deployed in the area, armed robbery from two citizens at gunpoint. They were fleeing by snatching the mobile phone when the police reached the spot.
The SHO said that the armed dacoits saw the police and opened fire on them, which was retaliated by the police, in which 4 dacoits were killed on the spot, one policeman Hanif and 2 passersby Barir Abbas and Zahid Hussain was injured and was immediately shifted to the hospital.
