Chasing Australia’s target of 389 runs in the 27th match of the ICC World Cup, New Zealand scored 222 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 31 overs.

First innings

In the match being played at the Dharamsala Cricket Stadium, the Australian team was all out by scoring 388 runs in 49.2 overs, opener David Warner and Travis Head provided an aggressive opening start of 175 runs, but Warner scored 81 runs with the help of 6 sixes and 5 fours. While Travis Head played an innings of 109 runs with the help of 7 sixes and 10 fours.

Other players include Steve Smith and Marence Lebouchen 18, 18, Mitchell Marsh 36, Glenn Mesquill 41 and Josh Ingles 38, Mitchell Starc one while Adam Zampa was out for zero. In the final overs of the match, the captain Pat Cummins played an innings of 37 runs off 13 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 2 fours.

For New Zealand, Glenn Phillips and Trent Boult took 3, 3 wickets while Mitchell Santner took 2 wickets and James Neesham took one wicket.

Second innings

New Zealand did not start well in pursuit of the target, opener Dion Conway was dismissed for 28 runs and Will Young was dismissed for 32 runs. Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell formed a partnership of 96 runs for the third wicket, but Mitchell was dismissed for 54 runs. While captain Tom Latham could score 21 runs.

Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa took 2 wickets each for Australia.

Earlier, New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and decided to field first.
