The President and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco, Engineer Amin Hassan Al-Nasser, has announced the establishment of a large center for disabled people in Al-Ahsa.
According to the Saudi media, the center will provide quality educational, therapeutic and behavioral services with international features, vocational training opportunities for differently abled persons will also be provided in the center.
Saudi Aramco’s participation as a strategic partner of the forum aims to highlight investment opportunities in the energy sector in the Kingdom and its role in economic development. In particular, making Al-Ahsa Governorate in accordance with the desired national goals is also included in the objectives.
It should be noted that Aramco will build this new center in two phases, the capacity of 330 students is expected in the first phase. It is planned to be finished in 2025.
The second phase will also provide facilities for the same number of students, thus a total of 660 will benefit from the center, which is expected to cover an area of over 60,000 square meters in the heart of Saudi Aramco’s Mubarak complex.
Al Nasser said that Saudi Aramco strives to focus on the potential of our sons and daughters with disabilities and provide them with rehabilitation, training and skills. This training enables them to enter the labor market and lead a dignified life.
Al-Nasser said that Saudi Aramco has a special relationship with Al-Ahsa. The company has been associated with Al-Ahsa since its inception as Al-Ahsa is one of the most important and major business areas of the company.
Engineer Amin Al Nasser added that Saudi Aramco wants to contribute to the empowerment of women. The company established the Aramco Driving School for women in Al-Ahsa 3 years ago, in which more than 29,000 women have received training so far.
