Rating agency Goldman Sachs on the value of Pakistan’s rupee has said in a Bloomberg report that the improvement in the value of the rupee is short-term.
As elections approach, the rupee will depreciate due to financing risks, says Bloomberg.
The report said that the short-term improvement in the rupee’s value was due to financial support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In the report, Bloomberg has added that mutual financial support is also the reason for the short-term improvement in the value of the rupee.
Bloomberg also says that a premium will be necessary to improve the value of the rupee before the election.
