PIA crisis continues; Another 49 domestic and foreign flights have been cancelled

Karachi: Another 49 domestic and international flights were canceled due to the fuel crisis faced by PIA.

According to sources, since the agreement to pay the PSO on a daily basis, the national airline has continued limited flight operations under Plan B, during which fuel is being supplied to certain aircraft. However, overall PIA’s schedule is getting badly affected.

Another 49 domestic and international flights of the national airline have been canceled due to the crisis, including 5 Karachi-Islamabad flights, PK300, PK301, PK368, PK369 and PK370.

Apart from this, 4 flights from Karachi to Lahore including PK 302, PK 303, PK 304 and PK 305 have been cancelled. Meanwhile PK 310 and PK 311 of Karachi Quetta, PK 501 and PK 502 of Karachi Turbat are also cancelled.

PIA’s PK 536 and PK 537 to Karachi Sukkur, PK 331 to Multan Karachi have been cancelled. Meanwhile, Islamabad Multan PK 681, PK 682, Sharjah Multan PK 294 have also been cancelled.

According to the flight schedule of the national airline, Karachi Dubai PK 213, PK 208, Karachi Jeddah PK 732 have also been cancelled. Faisalabad Muscat PK 165, PK 166, Lahore Muscat PK 229 and PK 230 are also cancelled. Doha Lahore PK 280, Dubai Lahore PK 204 have also been cancelled.

Sialkot Abu Dhabi PK 177, PK 178, Dammam PK 243, PK 244, Dubai Sialkot flight PK 180 were also cancelled. Islamabad Skardu PK 451, PK 452, Gilgit PK 601, PK 602, PK 605 and PK 606 have also been cancelled.

According to PIA sources, Islamabad Chitral PK 660 and 661, Dubai PK 211, Jeddah PK 841 were also cancelled. Apart from this, Islamabad Abu Dhabi PK 261, PK 262, Peshawar Doha PK 285 are also canceled while Peshawar Abu Dhabi flight PK 217, PK 218, Jeddah Peshawar PK 736 are also cancelled.
