Peshawar: The Federal Investigation Agency has arrested 3 suspects involved in handi and human trafficking and recovered domestic and foreign currency.
According to the spokesperson, FIA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zone arrested 3 accused persons involved in human trafficking and referrals in a major operation, Umar, Shiraz and Jalal Ahmed. The accused have been arrested from Swat and Abbottabad areas.
In the first action of FIA, Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar arrested 2 suspects involved in the handiwork, from whose possession 35 lakh 50 thousand rupees, 5000 Saudi riyals and 1800 UAE dirhams were recovered. Apart from this, 2900 US Dollars, 10000 Japanese Yen and 100 British Pounds were recovered from the accused.
The accused were involved in unlicensed currency exchange business and could not satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency.
In the second operation, Composite Circle Abbottabad arrested the accused involved in human trafficking, who extorted lakhs of rupees from the citizens on the pretense of employment abroad. had paid, and was wanted in 2 cases. The accused was extorting money in the name of employment abroad without a license.
FIA has arrested the accused in all the operations and started investigation.
