Farhan Saeed, a well-known singer and actor of the Pakistan showbiz industry, took the public by surprise by commenting on the rising price of petrol.
While tweeting on the micro-blogging site Twitter, Farhan Saeed expressed regret over the government’s decision to increase the price of petrol by Rs 22 late last night and rained down on the public.
Addressing the Pakistani people, the singer said, “Pakistanis, you will also put 500 rupees per liter of petrol, sorry.”
He further wrote that ‘A nation that does not stand up for its rights, deserves this and worse’.
It may be noted that Farhan Saeed seems to be concerned about the deteriorating conditions of the country and the day by day rising inflation and public attitudes, due to which he has been expressing his views on social networking sites from time to time.
Earlier, he had also commented on the record breaking sales of the leading international coffee brand on the first day in Lahore and the opening ceremony of HBL PSL 8 and expressed concern over the growing apathy in the society.
