Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to take drastic measures due to the financial crisis, the government has started considering withdrawing the 35% increase announced in the budget from the salaries of the government employees or deducting 25% from the salaries.
According to Express News, an important meeting of the Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held in which three different options were considered to overcome the financial crisis faced by the province.
It is reported that the first option was presented to withdraw the 35% increase announced in the budget from the salaries of government employees, which is expected to save 9 billion rupees per month. 8 billion rupees per month can be saved.
The third option was given in the meeting to abolish the executive, health and other allowances given to government employees, which can save the government 2 billion rupees per month. Sources have said that the government has started seriously considering all these proposals and any important decision will be taken soon.
Meanwhile, in this meeting held in the Finance Department, the proposal to strictly establish financial discipline in MTI Hospitals was also considered. Government sources said that the caretaker government is taking various measures to control the financial crisis in the province.
