Due to the efforts of Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohiuddin Wani, the Gilgit-Baltistan government has taken significant measures to promote education, health, IT, tourism in the region and reduce environmental pollution. started.

Under this program, food is being given to children in 70 government primary schools across Gilgit-Baltistan, in district Gilgit, Diamer and Skardu, these children are given food 6 days a week, with the support of Allahwala Trust, due to providing food in these schools. The attendance of children has reached 90%.

200 schools in Gilgit-Baltistan are being taught computer and entrepreneurship under the STEM system, 34 schools across the region have been converted into smart schools, where state-of-the-art IT equipment has been installed, including interactive smart TV, LM S, off-site and on-site servers are provided.

200 more primary and middle schools are being equipped with smart technology, with the support of the federal government, most of the schools in Gilgit-Baltistan will be converted into smart schools in the next few months.

In this regard, an agreement has been reached between the Gilgit-Baltistan Education Department and the Special Communication Organization during October 2023 under which 180 more schools will be converted into smart schools.

Apart from this, “OGDCL” has also recently entered into an agreement under which 10 more schools in the region will be converted into smart schools with the help of OGDCL.

Smart interactive whiteboards, multimedia projectors, Corei 7K computer system, online and offline LMS as well as digital libraries are being set up in middle areas of Skardu, especially Rondo and Gumba sub-divisions.

Prefabricated classrooms and washrooms are being provided in 55 flood-affected schools of Gilgit-Baltistan. The project has been approved by the Gilgit-Baltistan Departmental Working Party, under which 55 classrooms, washrooms and IT will be provided in these schools. Equipment will be provided including Learning Management System. These schools will be provided with the same facilities as before the flood.

In July 2023, Summer Learning Festa was organized in Gilgit-Baltistan in which 12 organizations and educational institutions of Gilgit-Baltistan taught the students. Included were NHA, Learn O Bots, Airblow, Karandaz and Yagradare.

Due to the efforts of Mohiuddin Wani, a project has been started in the region by Pakistan Karandaz, an organization funded by the Bill and Malinda Foundation, under which financial literacy will be taught to male and female students of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Students will be taught the principles of finance and budgeting, financial decisions, Karandaz Pakistan will be taught about economics in 1100 primary schools of Gilgit-Baltistan. The government of Gilgit-Baltistan will complete the project in collaboration with the National Institute of Banking and Finance and Karandaz.

Similarly, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has contracted to teach investment and finance to the youth of the region through its savings program, and SECP has established the Institute of Financial Markets for university-going students and faculty members. 3.4 million rupees scholarships have been announced for obtaining certifications from Pakistan.

During the tenure of Mohiuddin Wani, an agreement has been signed between the National College of Arts and the government of Gilgit-Baltistan under which NCA will open its campus in Gilgit-Baltistan. The government of Gilgit-Baltistan has also allocated 35 kanals of government land for this campus.
